BA Cabin Crew Dispute - "There will be NO levy imposed on Members"

We are beginning to receive reports that due to the inaccurate reporting by the media of the announcement yesterday of the Unite National Executive Committee's decision to support BA Cabin Crew with a financial levy of branches, some members have wrongly interpreted this to mean that there will be an increase in the rate of their subscriptions to fund this payment.
 
This is simply not the case.

The elected controlling body of Unite, the lay-member National Executive, has decided that, in this official dispute, it will provide financial support for BA Cabin Crew members from general Unite funds by allocating a small percentage (2%) from its current quarterly branch budget. Voluntary financial support from individuals is, of course, always welcome.
