Human Resources
The association is administered by the National Secretary

UKAPE is part of Amicus, the largest union in the UK. As such UKAPE members have access to a national network of full-time officers, dedicated to serving managerial and professional members.

Legal
UKAPE's officers have at their disposal legal advice from a variety of sources:

• Head Office Legal Services Department
• A 24-hour legal advice helpline
• Retained employment law and personal injury solicitors

Research
Amicus maintains a large research department which provides a comprehensive database on a wide range of topics. This is used extensively by all sectors of the union to provide data and analysis in support of projects and investigations.

Training
Extensive training facilities are available at Esher Place,which are used for training in technical skills as well as industrial relations and health and safety. This centre provides a high standard of residential accomodation, and excellent conference and leisure facilities.

Administrative
The Head Office at Hayes Court in Bromley, Kent, houses a large printing department and a computer section dealing primarily with membership data. Amicus was amongst the first unions to obtain the benefits of fully computerised membership administration.

Recreational
Esher Place has entertainment and recreational facilities available to members and their families for special weekend breaks.
